Tu mente y tu cuerpo est\u00e1n preparados desde hace meses para esa carrera de 10 kil\u00f3metros que tanto deseabas correr. Llegas al lugar y, \u00a1horror! Tu vejiga te reclama ir al ba\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Afortunadamente, la organizaci\u00f3n puso ba\u00f1os port\u00e1tiles suficientes as\u00ed que haces lo tuyo y regresas a la salida para la largada inicial. Y\u2026 \u00a1arrancas!<\/p>\n<p>Empiezas con buen ritmo y todo parece ir de acuerdo al plan cuando, a mitad de la carrera, de repente <strong>sientes que no puedes aguantarte y que se escapa un chorro de orina<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Tranquila: este padecimiento, conocido como <a href=\"https:\/\/medlineplus.gov\/spanish\/ency\/article\/000891.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>incontinencia urinaria de esfuerzo<\/strong><\/a>, es m\u00e1s com\u00fan de lo que parece. Y muchas mujeres (y algunos hombres) que hacen <em>running<\/em> te lo pueden confirmar.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>S\u00edntomas y factores contribuyentes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Este padecimiento ocurre cuando los <strong>m\u00fasculos del suelo p\u00e9lvico<\/strong>, que se encuentran en la parte inferior de nuestra pelvis y que apoyan la labor de contener la orina, se vuelven d\u00e9biles o no funcionan.<\/p>\n<p>Y es que los \u00f3rganos el aparato urinario \u2013la vejiga, el esf\u00ednter y la uretra\u2013 <strong>dependen del sost\u00e9n y la fortaleza del suelo p\u00e9lvico para su normal funcionamiento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A la larga, un suelo p\u00e9lvico deteriorado puede favorecer los eventos involuntarios de escape de orina, que se pueden agravar con los impactos continuos que se producen al correr, saltar o bailar. Aunque tambi\u00e9n pueden ocurrir al toser, re\u00edrse o estornudar con fuerza.<\/p>\n<p>Pero la actividad deportiva de alto impacto y los trastornos del suelo p\u00e9lvico no son los \u00fanicos factores implicados: la falta de tono muscular, el exceso de movilidad de la uretra y la vejiga, que la uretra no cierre bien y una actividad de las fibras nerviosas, tambi\u00e9n pueden contribuir a este padecimiento.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ensuelofirme.com\/soluciona-las-perdidas-de-orina-al-hacer-deporte-en-cinco-pasos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Laura Rojas<\/a>, fisioterapeuta especialista en suelo p\u00e9lvico, un veinte por ciento de las mujeres que tienen p\u00e9rdidas de orina durante el deporte <strong>elimina totalmente esta actividad de su vida<\/strong>, por s\u00f3lo un cuarenta por ciento de ellas cambia de disciplina.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Las 5 principales causas<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El debilitamiento de los m\u00fasculos del suelo p\u00e9lvico puede ser causado por:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>El embarazo y el parto vaginal.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Aquellas mujeres mayores de 45 a\u00f1os y que hayan tenido uno o m\u00e1s partos, pueden tener el suelo p\u00e9lvico ligeramente distendido.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\" type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Cirug\u00eda de la zona p\u00e9lvica o de pr\u00f3stata (en hombres).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Sin una correcta pr\u00e1ctica y rehabilitaci\u00f3n, este tipo de intervenci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica puede da\u00f1ar m\u00fasculos o nervios que ayudan a controlar la micci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\" type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Hiperpresiones abdominales.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Los abdominales cl\u00e1sicos o el levantamiento de peso (halterofilia), o hasta una postura incorrecta al utilizar el inodoro, pueden provocar una contracci\u00f3n excesiva del \u00e1rea abdominal.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\" type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Traumatismos.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Lesiones adquiridas del cuello vesical y\/o uretral o traumatismos vaginales pueden debilitar este grupo de m\u00fasculos en el canal urinario.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\" type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Sobrepeso.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Estudios sugieren que la sobrecarga del suelo p\u00e9lvico producida por la obesidad, en el caso de las mujeres, favorece la incontinencia por estr\u00e9s, es decir la incapacidad de contener la orina al estornudar, toser o durante la actividad f\u00edsica.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u00bfDebo dejar de correr?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Para saber si correr es bueno o malo para el suelo p\u00e9lvico, debes tener en cuenta aspectos tales como:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es el estado de tu suelo p\u00e9lvico?<\/li>\n<li>\u00bfCu\u00e1nto esfuerzo realizas al correr?
